Sewing Machine Maintenance, Repair and Conservation

I love figuring out how things work, taking things apart and putting them back together.  I was given my MIL's and my DH's Auntie's machines and both needed some TLC.  One day it popped into my head to enroll in a sewing machine maintenance and repair workshop, so off I went to Cleveland during July of 2025.

The course attendants were encouraged to bring as many machines as they liked.  The machines we all brought were put on shelves around the room and we could select on which one(s) we wanted to practice.

I spotted this pastel teal gem and had to dive in.  Well that was it.  That's when I fell in love with vintage machines.

Practicing my skills

Since I received my certificate, I have acquired around 12 machines of all ages.  I figured practicing on these machines would be a good internship, so to speak.

And then...

I have since branched out to servicing vintage attachments as well.
